CIPAC review of MT methods
As the CIPAC review process has reached Handbook F, it was decided to review not only the MT methods that are published in Handbook F, but also the ones that are published in later Handbooks.
The criteria and the aim of the review process is the same as for the other Handbooks and is described on the CIPAC website (http://www.cipac.org/document/Review of CIPAC Methods/explanations method review.pdf)
How should the table of the draft outcome of the review of the MT methods be read?
CIPAC has used the work of DAPF on the continuous improvement process concerning the MT methods and has sent their proposals for comments to ESPAC and JAPAC.
The respective comments are given in the table. Based on these comments CIPAC has made a proposal concerning the status of the MT methods.
CIPAC would like to ask all interested parties to send their comments on the CIPAC proposal at the latest by 15th September 2010 to ralf.haenel@bvl.bund.de
It would be very much appreciated if you could incorporate your comments into the column "Comments after 54. CIPAC Meeting".
It will be difficult to consider comments after the 15th September, because the review should be finalised in due time to be incorporated into the 2010 update of the Manual on development and use of FAO and WHO specifications for pesticides.
After considering the comments and amending the CIPAC proposals, where necessary, it is foreseen to make the final table available on the CIPAC website.
Later on CIPAC has the intention of publishing a new "MT method Handbook" superseding Handbook F.
I would like to express my thanks to ESPAC, JAPAC and in particular to DAPF for their substantial support.
If you should have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
