Clodinafop-propargyl [683.225]
OUTLINE OF METHOD
Clodinafop-propargyl is a chiral compound (R-enantiomer).
Hence two methods are used to determine the chemical and the enantiomeric
purity. The first analytical procedure determines the sum of both
enantiomers.
The sum of clodinafop-propargyl (R-enantiomer) and the S-enantiomer
is determined by reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography
using UV detection at 305 nm and external standardisation. By a separate
method clodinafop-propargyl is separated from the S-enantiomer by
chiral phase high performance liquid chromatography using UV detection
at 230 nm and the R- enantiomer fraction is determined.
SCOPE:
The method is usable for TC, WP and EC-formulations.
