OUTLINE OF METHOD

For the method lindane technical see CIPAC Handbook 1C, p. 1977:

The impurity 4 Alpha-HCH*

The sample is dissolved in ethyl acetate with hexachlorobenzene added as internal standard. Separation is carried out using a wide bore WCOT fused silica capillary column with automatic injection and flame ionisation detection. The alpha-HCH content is determined by comparison with calibration solutions.

SCOPE:

The 4 alpha HCH method is usable for TC, WP and SC formulations.
The method extension for Lindane is for SC formulation
