SODIUM CHLORATE

OUTLINE OF METHOD

The chlorate is dissolved in water, potassium bromide added, the solution acidified with hydrochloric acid, and then potassium iodide solution added. The liberated iodine is titrated with standard thiosulphate.

SCOPE:

The method is usable for TC, SP, SL and XX formulations.
